Lumbar Flexion

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent up
  2. Pull one knee up and grab hold of it, then pull the other knee up and grab hold of it so that you are gripping the back of both knees, gently pulling towards your chest.
  3. In this position, very slightly rock your knees backwards and forwards so that you feel a gentle stretch at the back of your back. No Pain!
  4. Rock for 30 seconds

This is a great flexibility exercise for you. Remember you need to mix flexibility exercise with strength building exercises to ensure your back gets maximum benefits. If you want help putting an exercise program together we are here to help. Take the first step, get in touch on 0131 221 1415
