Physiotherapy plays a vital role in the relief of pain, healing and rehabilitation following muscle, joint, tendon and ligament injury or surgery. A Chartered Physiotherapist is an expert in the examination of movement and posture. This involves the assessment and treatment of a wide range of conditions including neck and back pain, sports injuries and "Occupational (i.e.work related) Health" problems. Treatment may include manual therapy, electrotherapy eg ultrasound therapy, stretching and strengthening exercises.

Osteopathy is a manual system of medicine, concentrating on the muscles bones and joints (though many osteopaths - including our own - will attempt to help problems such as IBS, asthma, Menstrual Disorders and others). The profession is regulated by the General Osteopathic Council and it is a criminal offence to describe oneself as an osteopath unless registered with this body.

Massage is an ancient art, which has a great deal of science behind it. It involves various techniques to relax muscle, improve circulation, and stimulate well-being. Our therapists are all registered and insured with professional bodies.

On-site massage is generally practised in an occupational setting and permits the patient to remain fully clothed and yet still benefit from massage; this is performed on a "chair" designed to facilitate relaxation.

Exercise Therapy is the science of prescribing exercises to help people to improve their health, whether this be for a particular problem or for a more general improvement.
