Gavin Routledge

Chief Back Officer and Registered Osteopath

Gavin graduated in 1991 from the British School of Osteopathy as a Gold Medallist and is now a Vice Patron of the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the BSO). Co-author of “The Back Book” with Gavin Hastings OBE in 1996; and in 2017 the author of “Active X Backs – a long term solution to lower back pain”, he is a much sought-after public speaker on the topics of pain, health and physical activity. He is so fascinated by pain that he completed an MSc in The Clinical Management of Pain at The University of Edinburgh. Gavin is passionate about helping to move people as far from illness and pain as possible and practises what he preaches, cycling, running, swimming, body-weight and free-weight training, practising yoga and meditation (with the very rare game of extremely average golf).

Ralph Brooks

Chief Movement Officer

Ralph is a nutritionist, Kettlebell coach and Yoga teacher with a simple philosophy. Good movement, strength training and proper nutrition improve and help maintain your long-term health.
His passion for movement started when he was a black belt martial arts instructor. He taught TaekwonDo for over 10 years, with students ranging from 6 to over 60 years old. Now retired from martial arts, Ralph teaches good movement and strength with Yoga and Kettlebells. He is certified in movement screening and corrective strategies with Functional Movement Systems, a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga teacher and a StrongFirst certified Kettlebell instructor.
He graduated from Queen Margret’s University with 1st class honours BSc in Nutrition and is a AfN Registered Associate Nutritionist. A professional chef for 25 years, Ralph is an unapologetic“foodie”. His passion and deep understanding of food shape his pragmatic and engaging approach to nutrition science and healthy eating.

Graham Logan

Massage Therapist

Graham studied massage because of his life-long passion for health, fitness and athletic performance/maintenance, and has been working as a therapist since 2015. Graham’s work within the corporate environment and experience of physical training give him great insight into the regular maintenance required to support daily life and performance; while his interest in recovery and balance led him to refine the most stress-relieving techniques for relaxation.

Enjoying fitness, weight training, martial arts, hill-walking and photography, Graham likes to keep active! “I love making a positive impact on people and take huge satisfaction from helping clients; whether I’m relieving pain for an athlete, or relaxing an office worker into a happy coma as their afternoon treat. I take great pride in giving the massage you want, tailored to your needs.”

Business Manager

Andreea is our Business Manager.  She oversees the day to day running of the practice, keeping the practice atmosphere warm and welcoming, while working closely with our team and patients/clients to provide the best quality of care; in a compassionate environment.

Before joining Active X Backs in 2016, Andreea worked in a diverse range of fields; including HR, customer service and education. In her free time, Andreea loves spending time outdoors, playing chess or reading. She’s a proud mum, loyal friend and dog lover. She strongly believes in the motto: “The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes their way”.
